Key Updates in NCC 2022 Amendment 1 (v1.1)
The Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) has published Amendment 1 to the NCC 2022, with some minor changes to Volumes 1, 2,3 and the Housing Provisions. The majority of changes relate to the state based legislation for Western Australia (WA). Here's a quick overview of what's new:
- Changes to definitions and referenced documents for WA Schedule 11
- Some notes deleted from Volume 1 and change to text for signs on self closing doors
- Changes to 3.5.1 for WA under Part 9
- Directos determination for the application of Part 8 Livable housing provisions for Tasmania, refer to cbos.tas.gov.au for more information.
- Changes to energy efficiency provisions for Part H6 in WA
- Changes to deemed-to-satisfy provisions for gutters in Part H10 for WA
- Changes to Part 3.2 and 6.3 of the Housing Provisions
- Changes to Part 7.4 Gutters and downpipes for WA
- Changes to Part 8.2 Windows and external glazed doors for WA
- Changes to Part 13.2 Building fabric for WA
- Changes to Part 13.3 External glazing for WA
