Take the Next Step toward NSW Data Certification Reporting Readiness

August 23, 2023 1 Min read

It is well known that the NSW Government is introducing changes to the reporting of building certification data for all building certifiers and local councils throughout NSW on July 1, 2018. The NSW Government have implemented these changes to streamline and standardise the format of data reported on all development and construction activity across NSW. We first wrote about these changes in our blog article 'Be Prepared for NSW Data Certification Reporting with Visual Approvals' back in March.

There are three approved methods of reporting, the suitability of which is most applicable to you will depend on the size of your business, the volume of certification works you process and whether you currently use a manual or software database system.

Visual Approvals is a specialised building certification software system which captures all of the required & optional field information ensuring it meets the mandatory NSW reporting requirements. Over the past few months we have worked closely with the NSW BPB on the development of our API solution. By using the Visual Approvals API, your reporting data including approval and inspection results, will be sent to the NSW link at various stages throughout the lifecycle of a job. This integration is simple and effortless as the upload will take place with just the click of a button.

The Visual Approvals API solution is suitable for building certifiers and councils that process more than 50 PCA appointments per year and are looking to automate manual data entry while alleviating task-heavy administrative processes.

To find out more information about the Visual Approvals API or if you just wish to have a chat about the NSW Data Certification obligations in general, visit our team on Stand 6 at the AAC Conference 2018 - Great Expectations in May or call us on 07 3117 0520.
